The Wasabi Skate Bearings 6IX Ball PRO has six big steel balls of larger diameter, rather than the seven balls used in most standard 608 bearings. Thanks to the larger balls, the raceways are deeper, which gives you a tighter tolerance that translates into greater acceleration, higher top-end speed, and greater strength as well for durability.

These bearings feature a removable rubber shield that allows for easy maintenance, greatly reduced friction, and none of the annoying rattling noise from regular metal shields.

Junk has gotten away from metal retainers and chosen high-speed nylon ball retainers, which generate less friction, allow you to maintain your forward momentum better, and also rid your bearings of the annoying rattling noises of metal retainers. Another great advantage of nylon retainers is that we have one less piece of metal to rust.
