Two Decades in the Making

Vaypor represents 20 years of development in elite inline speed skating. This is the 7th generation of a boot that has evolved through constant innovation, athlete feedback, and real-world racing at the highest international level.

Every generation has refined stiffness, reduced weight, improved fit, and enhanced durability. Vaypor is the culmination of that process. It is lighter, stronger, and more responsive than any version before it.

Hand-Laid Toray Carbon, Total Power Transfer

At the heart of Vaypor is hand-laid, unidirectional Toray carbon from Japan. This is not generic carbon. Toray is known worldwide for its consistency, strength-to-weight ratio, and performance in high-end sporting and aerospace applications.

By hand-laying the carbon, we control fiber orientation with precision. The result is a carbon fiber boot that is exceptionally stiff in the direction of power transfer while maintaining controlled flex where needed.

When you push, the energy goes straight into your racing frame and speed skate wheels. Nothing is lost. No delay. No softness.

Forged Carbon Base with Power Ridges

The base of the Vaypor uses forged carbon technology. This process creates a dense, highly compact carbon structure that enhances impact resistance and strength without unnecessary bulk.

Integrated power ridges further reinforce the structure. These ridges increase stiffness and stability under load, especially during full sprint acceleration and high-speed cornering. The boot holds its shape under extreme pressure, giving you confidence at top speed.

Aluminum mounting blocks are embedded into the base for secure, durable frame attachment. They provide reliable thread engagement and maintain alignment under repeated high-torque loads, which is essential for serious inline racing.

Durolite Outer Skin, Advanced Japanese Material

The outer skin of Vaypor is made from Durolite, a premium Japanese material that is lighter, stronger, and more flexible than leather.

Leather stretches over time. Durolite is engineered to resist that. Combined with the anti-stretch material bonded beneath it, the outer shell maintains its structure season after season.

This means:

Less deformation under load

It also reduces overall weight, contributing to a lighter inline speed skate setup without sacrificing durability.

One-Piece Construction, Built for Performance

Vaypor is made using Bont’s One-Piece Construction method. This process is significantly more labor-intensive than mainstream two-piece skate construction, but the performance difference is clear.

In a typical two-piece boot, the liner and outer skin are glued onto a pre-made base. Much of the stitching is cosmetic and does not contribute to structure.

In Vaypor, the stitching is structural. The expert sewer who works on this boot has one role only, stitching. The stitching binds the Durolite outer skin to the anti-stretch material that is bonded directly to the carbon shell.

This results in:

New Narrower Last, Precision Fit

Vaypor is built on a new, narrower last. This refined shape is designed for skaters who want a more precise, race-oriented fit.

A narrower last improves:

Heel lock
Midfoot control
Overall responsiveness

Combined with heat-moldable resin, the fit becomes highly customizable. You can heat the boot in the oven and mold it to your foot shape for a personalized fit. Over time, it will also adapt subtly to your foot from natural body heat.

This is how you achieve race-level comfort without sacrificing stiffness.

Advanced Closure System

Vaypor features a custom-made buckle with a new replaceable strap. This allows you to fine-tune tension across the instep and replace the strap easily if needed.

Wide, flat eyelets distribute lace pressure and prevent pull-through. They are designed to handle high tension without deforming the upper.

The result is secure lockdown without pressure points, critical in long-distance marathon skating and explosive track racing alike.

Performance Tongue Design

The Vaypor tongue is more than padding. It is engineered for performance.
