Sure-Grip Plates

Sure-Grips first roller skate plate came in the late 1940s with the introduction of the Stylist plate. This plate used steel hangers as opposed to the aluminum ones used today. In fact Sure-Grip was the first to use aluminum hangers and the first to use a rubber pivot insert. Due to the success of our wheels we thought it was only right that we complete the package and produce roller skating plates. At that time the only competition was Chicago Skate Company out of Illinois. Over the years we have perfected our designs into the range you see today. Many of these designs were developed in the 1940s with small improvements over the years. Many competitors over have tried to develop their own skates and compete with little success. We stand behind our products 100%, 75 years in the skating business.
